What a year it's been!
From moving to our new/old store location, to having Angel come back to us full-time, to changing to only offering bridal alterations, it's been a year for the books!
We've hit a HUGE goal for us. And we're just so, so grateful for you. You have made this possible. You have supported us, shared our business with your fellow brides and cheered us on.
Now it's our turn to give back. And we're so excited to say that we've partnered with Aisha Johnson Villa and her church to sponsor three local families.
These families are experiencing financial hardships but don't qualify for other services like the Salvation Army Angels, etc.
Family #1
Grandparents have custody of the three kids. Their daughter is in rehab and the father is not present. Grandparents are adjusting to being parents again and now have the added expense of child care and other expenses of caring for three kids.
Family #2
A single mom of three who works full-time as a teacher and works a second part-time job to help cover expenses. Her rent is high and she also has to pay for childcare, Because she works full-time as a teacher, she does not qualify for state assistance. She's struggling to cover all expenses, despite working so hard.
Family #3
Mom just got out of a really bad domestic violence situation. She was laid off, has been looking for work, and will start a new job in January. Has two teenage kids. She is struggling to cover all her expenses as she waits to start her new job.
We can't change the world. But for these three families, we can certainly change Christmas. Suzanne and her husband Tom have graciously agreed to cover everything needed to give these families the most magical Christmas.
We're collecting donations in the store, that Suzanne will match, to cover January's rent. So bring in some cash in the next two weeks, if you're able, and let's surprise these families with not only Christmas but also the gift of not having to worry about paying rent next month.
Again, thank you for your support this year. Because of how much our business is grown, we're able to give back to those who truly need it this holiday season. And we encourage you to do what you are able to put a smile on someone's face this holiday season. Isn't that what it's all about after all?
